Lodger på De amerikanske Jomfruøyer

"This is a beautiful and well run place to stay. I was made welcome as soon as I arrived. Room was very nice and such good value for money. Peaceful place even with it being next to the lake where there was much singing and dancing and fireworks for the water festival (Bon Om Touk). Green and lush surroundings. I ordered my chicken fried rice when I arrived for 4 hours later. 4 hours later I was eating chicken fried rice."

"We were generously upgraded to the Langakali house from the Heilala initially booked at no extra charge. This worked out perfect having the extra bathroom. The house was easily accessible on our arrival with overall good communication from the renters. Nina was beautiful and did countless loads of washing for us with no hesitation included in the accomodation price. Green Lodge is close proximity to town and our families village so was a prime location for us. Screens on doors and windows were a plus, coils and basic toiletries and essentials were provided and ample storage throughout. A quiet area that felt very safe. Style of the house is older, but comfortable enough, we felt at home being here."

Although screens were throughout, you will still need repellent and extra coils. The ensuite bathroom toilet wouldn’t always flush properly and the wifi wasn’t working. It would be a plus to have one more fan in the third bedroom of the Langakali house and

"ВСЕ!!! 10 дней, которые мы были в отеле, были окружены заботой, теплом, вниманием и помощью персонала по всем вопросам (включая практически невозможный обмен авиабилетов из Янгона в Бангкок не выходя из отеля) Пляж - просто прекрасен. Да, на нем нет удобств (кроме лежаков около отеля), но и отдыхающих, в общем-то, тоже нет. И 1,5 км пустынного пляжа в твоем полном распоряжении каждый день - что может быть лучше... Еда в ресторане не блещет разнообразием, но ОЧЕНЬ достойная. Морепродукты, естественно, свежайшие, каждый день! Отдельные слова благодарности хозяйке! За почти 30 лет путешествий по миру было очень немного мест, где хозяин лично встречает и провожает гостей, и каждый день интересуется настроением и возможными вопросами к проживанию. Если будет возможность - непременно стоит сюда приехать!!!"

"Great location at the South side of Song Kul lake. Breakfast was tasty and plenty. You can also get (packed) lunches and dinner. Phone reception is good and you can charge your phone in the evening in the main yurt. Stayed for two nights there. So peaceful and relaxing. Loved it!"

"Staff woke us up early for the turtle hatching release on the beach outside our bungalow - a magical experience. Food was good and staff were friendly. Amazing location on the beach (even though getting here takes a while) Rooms were decent although our ceiling fan was really weak so it got very hot at night. Would definitely stay here again"

"We spent the first night of our round trip through the north-west of Argentina here. It was a great start. Claudia gave us a very warm welcome. She speaks good English. The cabana was lovingly furnished and we felt at home. We cooked dinner in the evening and had breakfast on the small terrace next to the entrance in the morning. The gardens are well worth a visit! Thank you Claudia :)"

Beautifully restored Kasbah with productive gardens and a salt water pool (perfect if like me you can't cope with chlorine) We were lucky enough to visit after rain and the wildflowers blooming in the surrounding fields were beautiful. Staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly."

We only stayed 2 nights..

"The people who run the Lodge are absolutely lovely. We had dinner and breakfast both of which were very well cooked and tasty."

I found the bed a little uncomfortable and i would prefer 2 pillows per person. The driveway is steep...a little intimidating for us Europeans! But we had a 4 wheel drive so we were fine.

"Breakfast was fine - just remember to inform the owner the day before if you require breakfast. Ingrid, the co-owner, is a lovely woman and a fine, traditional cook. You will never leave the table hungry! Whilst she can offer beer at an extra cost, we tended to buy our own along with wine to drink at dinner. Again, you will need to inform Ingrid on the day if you require dinner later. There is no choice; me and my wife are both omnivores with no allergies or intollerances, and always liked what she prepared! Our lodge was spacious with a generous deck overlooking the beautiful gardens, and the sea in the background."

A small fridge in our lodge would have been a great bonus - however, we were free to use Ingrid's fridge. The shower was also a little on the dribbly side!

"Located exactly on the mountain, with exceptional views. Facilities were clean, comfortable and well heated. Staff were very helpful to transfer us to the hotel when we arrived, as the car park was a bit far from the hotel. They also treated us exceptionally well, and were always ready to accommodate us with our needs. Food and drinks were also really good. All in all 10/10 stay"

"Vakkert område rundt hotellet. Gode rom og balkong. Fantastisk ytsint til Mekong og solnedgang Svømmebasseng som var rent og hadde belysning om kvelden. Fantastisk god mat."

Personalet som serverte snakket ikke noe engelsk. Veldig vanskelig å kommunisere.

"It was lovely staying in a traditional house in Kakopetria & being able to hear the river from our room. A lovely breakfast of cereals, toast, eggs, cheese, yoghurt, olives & cold meats (if you eat them) was provided. It was in a great location in the old town."

The bed was a bit soft for us, and it would have been nice to have a rug on the cold floor - we were there in March.

"flyet vårt var forsinket, og når vi født kom frem, klarte jeg å glemme sekken min i taxien. en utrolig hyggelig husvert hjalp oss både med å komme oss til ett sted der vi kunne spise, OG finne igjen taxien slik at jeg fikk igjen sekken min. Nydelig sted, god frokost og flott område. Veldig morsomt å få prøve hanbok 🤗"

A bit isolated for a solo traveller

"Amazing location, cozy and cute cabins, the food was great and hosts were very warm and lovely people. Extra pluses are friendly furry friends, fire place possibilities and of course hot tub was the jewel of the stay."

"Hotellet er et fantastisk sted for total avslapning. Her kan man virkelig koble av og komme tett på naturen. Den brede og rolige stranden gir følelsen av å ha et helt privat paradis. Personalet er utrolig hyggelige og hjelpsomme – en ekstra stor takk til Hassan i resepsjonen for å ha svart på alle våre spørsmål og ordnet sen utsjekk! Her kan du forressten få en kjempegod burger i hotellets restaurant 🥰❤️"

Hotellet ligger omtrent 30 minutter fra Salalah sentrum med bil. Det ligger avsides til, så uten egen bil kan det være utfordrende å komme seg rundt. Vi bodde i Salalah sentrum for å utforske området, og booket tre netter her kun for å slappe av og nyte roen.

"Veldig vennlig personell som hjalp oss med det vi måtte trenge. Lodgen ligger mitt i naturen med en helt nydelig utsikt! Dette var et rimelig sted å bo, som gjorde det mulig for oss å bruke penger på flere opplevelser! Var heller ikke noe lydforurensning fra andre enn de som var på hotellet."

For å komme til lodgen måtte man opp et par utrolig bratte bakker, i tillegg til noen smale broer, noe som gjorde det litt skummelt, og vi følte ikke vi kunne spørre taxier som ikke hørte til loggen om å kjøre opp dit. Men vi leide en varebil, som min kjæreste (som har mye erfaring med bil) klarte å kjøre opp hver dag vi var der - men det var såvidt. Det var også lytt mellom rommene, så man hørte når de på naborommet pratet.
