"I absolutely loved the place! I came together with my friend with intention to relax and chill. The place was super cozy, relaxing and in a lovely calm area. When we came in november, there were still some wedding decoration left on the staircase (from the owners sons wedding the month before), and as a future bride myself I felt enchanted! I definitely recommend this place either for a lovely ladies night, or a romantic getaway, or a fun holiday with a bunch or friends. Greetings from Joanna and Monika"

"A wonderful , basic cabin located in the arguably the best location on the island . Surrounded by acres of exotic fruit and native forest beyond. Birdlife is prolific. This is a place to stay for birdwatching with flocks of African grey parrots, kingfishers, egrets .. and so much more to see.. Excellent value meals can be brought to your table daily. Freshly caught fish, local grown fruit and rice. No need to cook . It's good quality and great value. Bring cash for guides and daily, national park entry fees . The beach is amazing ... REALLY"

Ensure you have bought a local sim-card, loaded with data before arriving. Wifi may not work. Also, before arriving, stop at a supermarket and buy sufficient drinking water for your stay. ( 2 litres per person per day minimum ). Bring mosquito spray for your jungle walks and be prepared to rough it .

"La cabane est de très bonne qualité, spacieuse avec un pont qui donne sur une petite terrasse. Un salon est également à disposition sous la cabane avec un bbq. La cabane est très bien agencée avec ce qu’il faut, notamment un grand frigo, de la vaisselle et de quoi faire la cuisine. L’endroit est très bien situé au calme entre Bouillante et Deshaies. A 50m de la maison cacao et duke plage de galet. Les plages de sable sont entre 7 et 15mn en voiture. L’endroit parfait pour se dépayser. Liliane est une personne formidable qui conseille volontiers et est à dispositions en cas de besoin. Nous avons adorés ce séjour."

"Wonderful little getaway, greeted by the most charming host and beautiful, peaceful, tranquil surroundings. Saw the sunrise with coffee and breakfast on the private terrace/decking area. A must if you are in the area."

"Nice and cozy log cabins, good location, quiet and clean. Shower drain clogged - reception staff immediately came and fixed. Transport to the slopes on time, fast and comfortable. Restaurant amazing food, service was a bit slow but no rush in holiday isn’t it ? Good pricing too. ( half price or even more comparing to a meal at a proper restaurant in uk - not Weatherspoons ) Cheaper than Romania comparing to what resort has to offer in Borovets than Poiana Brasov."

Heating was difficult to set in the upstairs bedroom - either too hot either cold. Would love to see some attention to the small details and some improvements with the heating.

"The homestay was clean, cozy, and exactly like the pictures. The host was really nice and helpful — made us feel so welcome. The location was perfect too, walking distance to nice local breakfast spots."

"Lovely atmosphere and had all the facilities we needed. It was dark when we arrived making it a bit difficult to find however we managed to contact the manager and were guided to the property. There was no restaurant or cafe within walking distance but the young man who welcomed us went out of his way to go and get dinner and bring it back for us. A peaceful and comfortable stay. I would recommend this place."

There was no signpost on the main road to give directions. Not so bad during the day but necessary at night.

"Good Wifi. The property was large, with three upstairs bedrooms, two bathrooms, downstairs kitchen and sitting areas as shown on Booking.Com. There was a parking space allocated for guests on the road."

When we arrived there was no heating. This was turned on virtually after we contacted the host, but then stopped working. This did not warm the property which is a big space and all tiled floors. There was also no hot water. The gateman was sent to fix the water but we had to call the host to get him back 3 times, as it was still not working. The gateman then said he was going to sleep and walked out on us leaving us with no hot water. We were told to wait 30 min and there would be hot water but we had no hot water in the evening or early morning. By 10.30 there was luke warm water. We used kettles of warm water to shower. We slept in our thermals, clothes plus gloves/scarves . The place is very poorly maintained with many fixtures broken, the property was also dirty especially the kitchen. There were only 4 mugs, one chipped and one with a hole in the side. Plates were covered in food and not washed. The cutlery was very dirty. No lights worked over the dining room table. Only one hand wash in the downstairs toilet, and one shampoo between the two bathrooms upstairs, the listing stated toiletries provided. Towels were dirty and stained, plus holes on bedding, chairs, and pillow cases. This is the worst place we have ever stayed at and IS NOT SUITABLE FOR A WINTER STAY. No fire lighter was left. The owner is virtual and sends a gateman so I am not sure the owner is aware of the state of the property. We reached out upon returning to the UK via Booking.com to put in a complaint and Booking.com confirmed the host wold not provide any compensation instead Booking.com apologised on behalf of the property.

The bed was a bit soft to our liking and also the walls were not totally sound proof. But these were minor things, otherwise 10/10.

"Die Unterkunft war sehr gut gelegen und erreichbar. Parkmöglichkeiten waren ebenfalls in direkter Nähe. Die Ferienwohnung war gut ausgestattet und haben uns sehr willkommen und wohlgefühlt 🙂. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen 🥰🥰🥰"

Das einzige was es zu bemängeln gab, das keine Handtücher vorhanden waren. Es gab kein Hinweis das diese nicht mit inbegriffen ist bzw diese gegen Aufpreis erhältlich sind. Leider war es auch etwas staubig und einiges an vorhandene Geschirr sehr klebrig. Dafür gibt's es aber Hände was somit schnell behoben werden könnte. Das ist aber Kritisieren auf hohem Niveau......Wie gesagt es sind wirklich nur Kleinigkeiten. Dennoch würde diese Unterkunft jeden empfehlen.👍🙂

This is a personal preference, but we found the pillows quite hard. But honestly, when you wake up in a tree house, the pillow thing is really a tiny issue, which gets forgotten about the moment you open your eyes, and you see the gorgeous waterfall on the property, the resident squirrel and the 2 dogs Bobby and Ania ❤️

"First of all hosts are just amazing people! Location was great, away from crowd with amazing grass fields where our dogs could run all day long. I mean it was generally great experience but one again, HOSTS ARE AMAZING! :)"

Well weather wasn't in our favor those days, but even that didn't ruin our holiday. We stayed inside , next to fireplace, watching rain/snow outside :)

"We loved this place - set out in the middle of the rain forest with little other than toucans, howler monkeys, bats and agouti for company. I admit that if you are looking for a bland, all inclusive resort - La Ceiba may not be for you. But if you you want to sleep in the rainforest then this place is beyond perfect. There's a decent track about 400m long from where you park to the accommodation. It is lit at night - watch out for snakes and you'll definitely see frogs."

Just a suggestion - you should promote the work of the Jaguar Rescue Center more. We stayed here partly because the money is used to help wildlife - but many people may not make that connection and so may not go and visit the JRC

"We were warmly greeted by Roanda and definitely the arrival the place exceeded our expectation. Such a beautiful colourful - African Style accommodation. delicious breakfast, clean room and a beautiful exotic garden. The all the staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. I can highly recommend this establishment and would not hesitate to book there again."

"This was such a beautiful stay! Everything is very clean and spacious, we loved the big shower in the bathroom and the overall design of this place :) Breakfast was also so nice and abundant! There's also a common area with kitchen if you need to + board games, very cosy especially if you're not so lucky with the weather like us. The pool seemed really nice but unfortunately we couldn't use it because it was too windy and cloudy when we were there."

"The cottages are nicely located, with enough space between them for privacy and nearby the river. The hotel restaurant was very nice and convenient, as well as the bread service in the mornings. And the beds were good."

The bathroom was extremely tiny. Literally showering above the toilet, smaller than boat cabin bathrooms! Quite weird for the given space in the cottage. Also the cooking facilities were fairly cramped, you cab only fit 2 small pans if you're lucky. However, it worked out well enough for us. Lastly, there are a lot of playground facilities for the kids, which sounded nice, but they were also located right in front of (most of) the cottages, which can make it quite noisy (depending on which children are playing there).
