"Al Diyar has a pool where the kids splashed around whilst we laid on the sun beds. The breakfast buffet has plenty of options. We also had dinner twice, one night there was buffet which has plenty variety and the next day we ordered a la carte (a nice shrimp biryani and fresh fruit juices). Both the rooms and food are good value for money, it’s simple but all good. We had the family suite, we could stay with 2 kids and 2 adults."

We were stranded in Muscat because of the political crisis nearby and the receptionist spent hours to help us contact airline companies, solve technical problems, answer our questions and make us feel at home. "The location was very good with easy access to shops and lots of cafes and restaurants. The Sultan Qaboos mosque and Central Souq are only a few minutes walk away. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially at Reception and in the Restaurant. The room was large, modern, very comfortable, spotlessly clean and quiet. Free bottled water is in the room. Kettle with tea and coffee. The breakfast was very good with an extensive buffet with hot and cold dishes and with eggs cooked to order. Easy walk (20 mins) to the palace, beach and old souq. Excellent place to stay."
