I found the bed a little uncomfortable and i would prefer 2 pillows per person. The driveway is steep...a little intimidating for us Europeans! But we had a 4 wheel drive so we were fine.

Modi Lodge is quite hidden and set in a remote area. It offers a peaceful and secluded atmosphere, which can be great if you’re looking to unwind, but it also means that getting around is difficult without your own transportation. Public transport and taxis are limited in that part of Curaçao, so without a car you won’t be able to easily reach beaches, restaurants, shops, or other attractions on the island.

"Perfect location, next to ski slope. Amazing place for skiers/ snowboarders, however you can reach it only directly from slope (but it makes stay even better) we could leave backpakcs at reception, and ski until checking. Stuff is very friendly and helpful."

For å komme til lodgen måtte man opp et par utrolig bratte bakker, i tillegg til noen smale broer, noe som gjorde det litt skummelt, og vi følte ikke vi kunne spørre taxier som ikke hørte til loggen om å kjøre opp dit. Men vi leide en varebil, som min kjæreste (som har mye erfaring med bil) klarte å kjøre opp hver dag vi var der - men det var såvidt. Det var også lytt mellom rommene, så man hørte når de på naborommet pratet.

"We were generously upgraded to the Langakali house from the Heilala initially booked at no extra charge. This worked out perfect having the extra bathroom. The house was easily accessible on our arrival with overall good communication from the renters. Nina was beautiful and did countless loads of washing for us with no hesitation included in the accomodation price. Green Lodge is close proximity to town and our families village so was a prime location for us. Screens on doors and windows were a plus, coils and basic toiletries and essentials were provided and ample storage throughout. A quiet area that felt very safe. Style of the house is older, but comfortable enough, we felt at home being here."

Although screens were throughout, you will still need repellent and extra coils. The ensuite bathroom toilet wouldn’t always flush properly and the wifi wasn’t working. It would be a plus to have one more fan in the third bedroom of the Langakali house and

"We spent the first night of our round trip through the north-west of Argentina here. It was a great start. Claudia gave us a very warm welcome. She speaks good English. The cabana was lovingly furnished and we felt at home. We cooked dinner in the evening and had breakfast on the small terrace next to the entrance in the morning. The gardens are well worth a visit! Thank you Claudia :)"

"Overnattingsstedet lå veldig fint til langs elven og eiendommen som helhet virket planlagt med omhu. Vi ble oppgradert uten ekstra kostnad da vi ankom og fikk oppleve en helt utrolig vakker hytte med utsikt mot skog og fantastisk gjennomført og behagelig interiør. Vi trivdes kjempegodt der og skulle gjerne blitt lenger!"

Der var ikke kaffetrakter, men det var pulverkaffe og vannkoker (og alle andre fasiliteter), så det gikk egentlig helt strålende!

Det var ganske dyrt, og alt ekstra koster penger.

"Koselig overnattingsted rett i naturen med fjellutsikt. Har litt vandrerhjem preg, hvis man liker å bli kjent med folk. De to varmtvannsbassenger rett utenfor huset gjør overnattingstedet veldig attraktiv og skiller ut fra andre."

Middagen og frokosten var forholdsvis dyr og ganske lite utvalg til frokost.

"This is a beautiful and well run place to stay. I was made welcome as soon as I arrived. Room was very nice and such good value for money. Peaceful place even with it being next to the lake where there was much singing and dancing and fireworks for the water festival (Bon Om Touk). Green and lush surroundings. I ordered my chicken fried rice when I arrived for 4 hours later. 4 hours later I was eating chicken fried rice."
