"Great value for money. If you intend to stay at the university, this hotel has everything one needs and is in close walking distance. Also, the rooms are tidy, and the staff is very friendly."

The reception was almost never occupied, and the person on the indicated phone number did not speak English. So checking in and paying was a bit tricky. Internet is a bit slow for working, but OK. Also, mind that you may need to bring your own shampoo, soap, and hair dryer.

Ingen store ting - kanskje at personalet ikke var så synlige. Kunne hjulpet om man kanskje hadde et WhatsApp eller lignende som man kunne kommunisert med dem via.

The bedroom and bathroom are huge—honestly, it’s one of the most spacious bathrooms I’ve ever seen, and the hydromassage tub was a fantastic bonus! It would be perfect for families . The host is absolutely amazing; he went above and beyond by storing our luggage and even driving us to the city center. He was so helpful with everything."

The family is incredibly kind and welcoming, and they went above and beyond to organize all my trips both around town and further afield. They are very knowledgeable and always happy to help with anything. It also meant a lot to know that the funds from the guest house support a school for the local community. We would have liked to have been given sandwiches with the tea at 4pm. Slight disappointment!

Zapáchající, zatuchlé ručníky. Klasika, když se složí ještě vlhké, chtěla bych jen upozornit, aby se nestávalo ☺️

"Our booking was made very late and despite this we were so warmly welcomed. There was beautiful Cape Verdean music being played when we arrived by two incredible musicians which was lovely. And the breakfast in the morning was delicious. The fresh mango juice was particularly mouthwatering!"

"It was very uncomplicated to get the keys. Plenty of parking nearby. The bathroom was spacious, the location was clean. The building has old roots and the main building was a makeshift hospital during the Battle of Waterloo, which added to the charm."

"I had a really lovely stay at this hotel! The property is welcoming, beautifully maintained, and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and helpful from the very first moment, always available without ever being intrusive. My room was bright, spacious, and very quiet — perfect for relaxing after a busy day. The location is excellent: easy to get around, close to the main points of interest, and well connected by public transport. I would definitely recommend this hotel."
