"The owner Mike is very friendly and his housekeeping staff are lovely. The hotel is well positioned and a great little place. It’s right next to where some fishing boats come in and some market stalls. The rooms are basic and it’s not a luxury hotel but it is very clean and Mike was busy during my stay painting floors etc prior to the busy season. It’s a good hotel for the price in this area."

"I stayed at the Ambergris Sunset Hotel for five nights. The hotel is located downtown on a small side street. So you can't hear the traffic from the main road. It has a small cafe, but it's only open in the morning. Across from the hotel, there's a restaurant where you can get very tasty food. I recommend the Loaded Potatoes. The rooms have air conditioning. It can be a bit louder or quieter depending on the room. There's also a small refrigerator for some cold drinks. All rooms are arranged around a small pool if you want to cool off from the hot weather. There's also a supermarket right near the hotel, which also has an ATM. You can also have your laundry done. Bicycles are available for exploring San Pedro. The Wi-Fi was stable the whole time. All in all, I can recommend the hotel if you're in San Pedro for a few days. It's not an all-inclusive luxury accommodation, but it's perfectly adequate."

"Super clean, nice pool, strong WiFi and Arctic AC. Also pricing wise very reasonable but not a party location which is good. Family run, relaxed place. Would definitely stay again."
