"Hotellrommet er flott innredet med stort rom og bad. En flott balkong som kom bra til nytte når det regnet litt, da det var tak over. Supert med gratis frokost med omelett og kaffe. Utrolig flott bakgård, stille og rolig. Hyggelig og hjelpsomme ansatte. Kort vei å gå til hovedgaten. Nydelige badeprodukter med gode dufter. Deilig med svømmebasseng og at man kunne fylle på gratis vann i resepsjonen. Nydelig å sitte å bare være til på terrassen og bakgården. Luftig. Kun få minutter i taxi til sentrum og busstasjon."

"Litt mørkt og trist område. Andre siden av hovedgaten var det et helt annet og mye triveligere område. Men dette er jo en smakssak. Hit kan man jo spasere eller ta en taxi til. Der finnes en masse kule og hyggelig butikker og restauranter. Vi leide sykler gjennom hotellet og oppdaget i ettertid at dette var omtrent dobbelt så dyrt som å leie på egenhånd. Syklene var elendige å sykle på og vi var ganske møre i baken etter å ha syklet til stranden. Det var også vanskelig å få tatt ut kontanter, noe som gjelder hele Tulum område. Det var kun noen få ATM som hadde penger og var mulig å få tatt ut penger i."

"Rooms are big, large terrace. You are pretty much free to do as you please. If you are with a car there is ample parking on the street outside. Location is both central and quiet. I met the manager on checkout and he was a really nice guy who got me a taxi at a short notice to take me to the bus station which isn’t far away.. it’s not always easy to find a taxi, which I needed because of luggage, at short notice for a short distance in Tulum. Beach towels are made available."

"This was a room for two people. One bedside light didn’t work and the light switch was visibly broken. It was never repaired during my stay here even though I informed the reception at the start . As I was on my own during this leg of my trip it wasn’t a problem but it would have been if my partner was with me. The outside terrace was not very clean with somebody’s cigarette stubs in the ashtray when I checked in. The purified water bottle was not refilled once during my stay here. When it rains heavily, the room floods as the terrace door is always kept open on the mosquito net; at least that is where I think the water came from. So when it rained when I was out, I came back to find a partly flooded room. Furthermore, the rainwater drains from a hole in the outer walls directly onto the terrace floor and the outside floor just outside the entry door on the other side of the room, instead of over the parapet or through a proper drain pipe. This means that you hear a very loud noise of water hitting the concrete over and above the rain at night ; it’s a bit ridiculous, there is not a proper water drain. I was sent a reminder to check out a day before actual checkout when I was some 80km away, so I didn’t quite appreciate that, and no, this is not a Booking.com practice. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, this is not one , it’s just pointing out some facts that can be fixed , and frankly I might consider staying here again , but I think I will look for better options at this price."

"The outside area is fabulous, beatiful pool and garden. Very quiet and silent in the area. A bit far from the centre, but we had a car and they had parking, so it was perfect. Good value for money"

"The room furniture was a bit dated, as was the small kitchen. The bathroom was modern and well decorated though. Not enough chairs outside. The breakfast was very basic."

"The premises of the hotel is very beautiful and calm. I enjoyed the pool area a lot, the breakfast is also served near the pool which is nice. Rooms were clean, staff was helpful and spoke good english."

"No restaurant per se on the premises, but it was possible to have an omellette breakfast made to order, toast etc. but butter and jam were missing. Served at the shallow end of the pool on small tables, it was easy to meet other guests on the premises with a laid-back vibe."

"No freezer with ice available on the premises. I hurt my ankle on the hefty bikes they rented and needed rellief from my huge bruise (watch those pedals!), but there was none. The hotel was in a quiet location, but on one extremity of the centro, making for a lot of walking as taxis sure charged a bundle to go even a short distance. And the beach was hard to get to on the 1-speed, super heavy bikes."

"Everything was exactly as promised - clean, comfortable and spacious room (book the Deluxe king room - best balcony!), pool area was lovely, breakfast was really good and everyone in the staff was really helpful! Would definitely recommend this place for others visiting Tulum aswell."

The air conditioning worked well, and we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast served by the pool. A special thank you to Rodrigo for his invaluable local insights. His knowledge and passion for Tulum were evident, and his advice on visiting the Tulum ruins made our experience smooth and enjoyable, even with our 5-year-old. We highly recommend Villa O2 and hope to return for a longer stay!"
