"I loved the calmness, convenient location and very supportive team. Cyril made sure I had the best experience in Victoria falls. He also helped me with all my activities and recommended great places for me to eat at or visit. The place was great with all that I needed, fully equipped kitchen, delicious breakfast etc.I will add my ink and voice to the rest of the travellers to say this hideout is highly recommended. Thank you Cyril and Team. I made it safely Back to Uganda and will ensure you have more visitors from Uganda 😃"

"The best in the village. Paul the owner is amazing.and loves his industry. The bungalows are so comfortable and well appointed. Bed was the most comfy in Laos. We could not fault anything. View from the hammock on the balcony outstanding."

The surroundings are excellent as well as the neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet. Accessibility was good. It is a little far from the city but there is a bus stop about five minutes from the property where the Airport bus stops. A rental vehicle would be recommended. We knew that and the remote location was very soothing for us."

The outside property had some very minor issues; it felt a bit barren and the pool could‘ve been better maintained. We would have liked simple room cleaning very days without having to ask for it because it made us feel a bit uncomfortable to request it. Plus, to avoid all these plastic bottles, we would have appreciated a shared water filter station at the property.

"We really felt welcomed. The owners prepared a home cooked dinner and breakfast with local products. Really nice family - like staying at grandma’s :)"

"Super place for the price. I had my own room with air con and a toilet and shower. It’s 800m about to the bus station and walking distance to most restaurants and stores in Savusavu. Practically next door to the historic Planters Club. Ron the owner is really kind and at the beginning drove me around to show me what I could do in Savusavu. I had a wonderful stay"

Sometimes it can get a bit noisy if the early morning ferry leaves for Suva a couple of times a week. I stayed in the front facing g the ocean. Maybe it was quieter at the back? But really there were no complaints

"Nice hostel, a good choice if you are on a budget in Mestia. You can easily meet other trekkers. Quiet place, nice kitchen, clean bathroom with nice shower, big balcony + space outside."

"The room was beautiful opening up to a sea view. Could go kayaking from just outside the room. The lodge had kayaks and life jackets available to guests. Could also go fishing or swimming - just idyllic! The staff were also really helpful. I would most definitely stay here again."

Cold water shower (was fine for body but just cold for washing hair!), the vents in wall allowed a lot of smoke in which made me quite coughy but wasn’t a big issue

Pool was freezing in August. Covering at night would probably be enough. Food mediocre and breakfast choices disappointing. Price difference on rooms isn’t justified. They are all identical just the views are different.

"It was like staying at someone’s home. V good, helpful staff and bed was v comfortable. The food was surprisingly decent for such a small place. Picturesque location even though snow was sparse at the time"

Only gripe might be that the air was quite dry, making sleep quality not so good: might be because of it being a wooden bldg

"Чудове місце для відпочинку сімʼєю. Дуже задоволені. Було дуже затишно і комфортно. Велика територія біля котеджа – є все необхідне для барбекю, альтанки і качелі для дітей. Відпочивали взимку, але в приміщенні було дуже тепло. Є санвузли у кожній спальні, що дуже зручно. Окреме спасибі пані Олі, адміністратору котеджа. Турбувалася про нас, щоб ми почувалися максимально комфортно. Плануємо повернутися сюди влітку 🙂"

Трошки замалий холодильник. Було б добре, щоб він був трохи більшим і мав трохи більшу морозильну камеру. Також не зайвими були б ще кілька кастрюль та великі миски.

"Staff went above and beyond to make our stay for my birthday a wonderful experience. Hotel was in the perfect location for ease of access to the train station and the town itself. Amenities were clean and room was spacious."

Overall the decor and energy of the hotel felt a bit dated but not a massive complaint that would stop me from booking again in the future as there was more positives to outweigh the aesthetic.

"The host was super friendly and helpful! He helped us arrange room bookings further up the trek and even managed to get us direct flight tickets from Lukla to Kathmandu. Everything went really smoothly — would definitely recommend this place!"

"Absolutely beautiful peaceful serene location. We were there Oct and it was cold. It must be amazing in the summer. Some issues with check-in. I guess it was off-season, because there were no staff. We needed to call and there was a small delay getting things organised. The room is huge, aircon/heater works well. Kitchen has most things you need. Fridge, microwave, utensils, etc Ensuite bathroom is large and shower is hot. It suited us perfectly."

10am check out is a bit early. We would have liked to stay around another few hours.

"Honestly couldn’t ask for anything better. Great location- 10 minutes away from The 7 Rila lakes, food was amazing, the itslef place was soo cozy and welcoming. Host was also amazing, very friendly, talked to us, gave us advice about our upcoming trip to the lakes, very sweet. 10/10 if youre looking for a relaxing place with a spirit!"
