"This place is fantastic and an absolute steal for the price. Rooms are spotless and well maintained, with very clean bathrooms. The host went above and beyond, assisting at every step he even arranged scooters for us to explore Ella and helped recover our luggage left behind at his place. Highly recommended!"

"An excellent place to stay. Very calm area away from the busyness of town, yet 5 minutes tuk tuk ride. Breakfast was great and this was my time there and I wouldn't change this to any other place."

"We requested vegetarian breakfast which had a good choice of fresh fruit ,roti and pancakes. We asked for a vegetarian curry for dinner which was delicious! Loved the quiet location and view."

"First of all special thanks to the staff for booking the room as requested by us. The place located in a very quiet area. Room, washrooms, sheets, towels are very clean. Air conditioned king size bedroom with comfortable bed and Satalite TV & Hot Water. The main city can be reached in 5 minutes. Uber/Pickme services are available. Has a friendly staff. A+ Highly appreciated and highly recommended to lodgers."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Star Sun Guest House and extended it for another 12 nights! It was easily the best place, and the best food, we experienced during our entire one-month trip around Sri Lanka. The location is perfect: right opposite a lagoon and just a short walk to the beach, surrounded by nature in peace and quiet. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious and plentiful - everything was excellent value for money. Chami and his family were fantastic hosts and always available whenever we needed anything. We also rented kayaks from them at a great price and had a lovely paddle on the lagoon. We would highly recommend this guest house!"
