Set in a 16th-century building in central Florence, Hotel Abaco is 500 metres from Santa Maria Novella Station. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms decorated in Baroque style. Each one inspired by a different artist, rooms are air conditioned and feature a TV, and a compact private or shared bathroom. "Room was clean and tide. It is on great location. Basilica is 8 min walk and the other church 4min walk. We had great stay there. You need to walk to highest floor to enter the hotel. No elevator in the building. AC in the room. Breakfast was nice with croissant, orange juice and coffee."

"Lovely decor in each room, themed around an artist. We were in the Michelangelo room which had a large double bed and two singles. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was very good (juice, coffee with a fresh croissant, bread roll and American pancake each with cream cheese, butter and jams). The location is excellent and was within easy walking distance of all the main sites."

"Location was amazing, the train station was 8 minutes away and the main attractions were within easy walking. The room was quirky, clean, and the beds comfortable. There was air conditioning, a sink and a mini fridge in the twin room. A small room but had everything in it. The private shower room for this room was across the main area used for breakfast. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, served with orange juice and coffee. Would definitely return."
"Be aware if you are in the twin room that if you go to get a shower during breakfast time, people will be sat in the area outside your room. We just went before breakfast, so wasn't a problem."

"Excelent breakfast friendly staff parking protected inside the hotel"
"Fantastisk frokost med hjemmelagde kaker og syltetøy hver dag. Rikelig med frisk frukt og en service som overgikk alle forventninger. Både familien som eide stedet og personalet var utrolig imøtekommende og hyggelige. Tre større vingårder i gangavstand fra hotellet. Velholdte og vakre omgivelser, rent og flott evighets-basseng. Gode og trygge parkeringsplasser Utsikten mot kysten den ene siden og d.et rykende Etna på den andre var spektakulær. Hit kommer vi gjerne tilbake. Takk for oss."

"To start with, the location is not only excellent (right in the middle of historical Viterbo, walking distance to most things), but you also have parking inside (and space for normal-sized cars too), which can be a life saver when travelling by car. Nice (and very clean) room, and for a very reasonable price (have been to city accommodations half as good for twice the price). Also provided disposable indoor slippers, which is instantly a +1. Lastly, can mention that the owner also has a nearby restaurant (c. 2min walk), called La Chimera, which I can strongly recommend. I do not normally give 10/10 unless very deserving, i.e. going above and beyond, but this place deserves it."

"Siamo stati accolti con gentilezza e professionalità alla reception. Il Signor Piero è molto simpatico e professionale, ha soddisfatto tutte le nostre richieste. Si mangia benissimo grazie allo cheff. La cena è stata squisita e al mattino abbiamo trovato un'ottima e abbondante colazione. C'è anche la possibilità di avere la colazione salata. I dolci sono preparati dallo cheff e abbiamo anche assaggiato il suo panettone artigianale. La stanza era calda ed accogliente. Infine abbiamo potuto soggiornare tranquillamente con la nostra cagnolina."
