"Located right on the main road between Roundstone and Ballyconneely, this lovely cottage is a great base for exploring Connemara. The house is modern, clean and well maintained. We stayed in winter and it was warm, dry and cosy. It could easily accommodate larger families or groups. It’s a ten minute walk to the nearest town (Ballyconneely) but in a car everything is easily accessible."

"We had no children with us but I’d imagine the only drawback where kids are concerned is the main road right outside."

"Perfect location near to Clifden and the beautiful Connemara coast. The house was ideal for our trip - plenty of space for two families sharing. The house was spotless and in great condition, with plenty of outdoor space to keep the kids happy."

"The whole house was great as we had 5 adults, 3 kids and 2 dogs. The outside space was brilliant for kids and dogs. The location was great as could explore all around us. Have been coming down for years and by far this has been the best place we have stayed in. Hoping to be able book for next year"

"Location had wonderful views of Galway Bay and close to beaches, shops etc by car. Owner close by and very helpful if any problems. Big house with 5 good size bedrooms (2 double and 3 single)and 4 bathrooms"

"Fab location with great views from the garden and a really spacious and comfortable house which is extremely well equipped! We really enjoyed our visit and would recommend it to others. We were a party of 6 adults and it was home from home! The bus service at the bottom of the road was easy and reasonably priced."

"Hill House is fabulous. You couldn't get a better location and set in a beautiful garden beside the church. The house itself is really comfortable, four really nice bedrooms and the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is really well equipped, and theres plenty of couches for everyone to sit in the living room. We had a minor issue with the hot water and the owner sorted it immediately. Apart from the aesthetics, the house has a really relaxing, calm atmosphere and played a major part in our enjoyment of Clifden. I would highly recommend Hill House to anyone."
