"Svært imøtekommende personale. Det var slutt på bestilling i restauranten da vi ankom kl 21.00. På booking sin side sto det kl 21.30. Hotellet besvarte heller ikke gjentatte henvendelser fra oss via meldinger, fikk heller ikke svar på tlf. Ble løst med at kokken lagde mat:)"

"Spennende å overnatte på en engelsk pub og som er så gammel. Ventet nesten det skulle komme et spøkelse! Veldig gode senger. Fint bad, men speilet over vasken var nok hengt opp av en som var 2m høy. Ved avreise kjørte kokken oss i kokkeklær til stasjonen helt gratis. Det var flott service!"

"Location was close to an event for us. Water was hot. Staff were friendly."

"The bathroom was not level and very dark, the bath was chipped. The mirrored furniture had cracks, and felt dated. Pillows were uncomfortable. Can hear noise from the neighbouring rooms, and the pub below."

"Pub environment was nice. Bathroom was nice & warm. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of space in the car park to manoeuvre a VW van."

"Room was tired, dated & in poor condition. The shower cubicle was very small and the toilet was fitted into a recess. We were woken up at 0530 on Easter Monday by the recycling wagon and a loud crash of bottles into the wagon. Approx. 0700 woken up again by staff repositioning the bins. Windows did not stay open as broken. Coffee machine leaked water over my bag and the furniture."

"It was all very lovely. Just, on arrival, it seemed that we were greeted with very young individuals and nobody senior guiding them."

"The room could do with a little TLC but the bed was very comfy and large. Dinner and breakfast were fine. Staff were excellent."

"There was this weering sound most of the night, maybe from an extractor fan or similar. Rather effected a good nights sleep."

"Breakfast was decent and included in the price. The downstairs bar area is especially lovely, feels like a cosy tavern from decades past!"

"The bed (room 5) was VERY soft - I don't think of myself as an especially fussy person when it comes to mattresses, but it was much too soft, felt like I was being swallowed up by a waterbed at times! If that's your preference though, that might actually be an advantage. Room was large and comfortable, but decor was a little sparse and a tad disappointing - they could (and perhaps should) lean in to the tavern vibes the Nags Head has going on, the white walls and plain bedspread don't mesh well with the building's exterior and downstairs"

"Great location within walking distance or the town. Room decent size and breakfast was great. Staff on point and ate here in the evening too. Food then very tasty too."
