"The cathedral carpark was closed - we finally found another carpark but it was not easy and a 15 minute walk with suitcases. It would have been helpful for the hotel to notify incoming guests the carpark is closed."

"The location was superb, right next to the cathedral; it's why we chose it. The breakfast was also very good at 12 Euros. There is a fantastic sound and light show every night projected onto the cathedral. Well worth seeing."

"The rooms were a little small and there is nothing except reception, the breakfast room and your room, but there are loads of good bars and restaurants nearby. Whilst we liked the location, they should remind visitors that the sound and light show every night starts at about 10:30 and does not finish until about 11:30. So not one for early to bed folk in the summer - we went there not long after the longest day. I suspect it will start and finish earlier in autumn/winter."

"The lady on reception was lovely, very friendly and helpful , also helping us to find a place to park our car. Our room had the most amazing view of Rouen cathedral which was so incredible ! The proprietor of the hotel had been very helpful in giving us a cathedral view room with a balcony, which helped to make our holiday very special and memorable . The breakfast was lovely and the breakfast room was really pretty and homely . I would definitely stay here again , excellent location and unbeatable view. Very clean room and really comfortable bed."

"Only the size of the room and air con but I would still choose this hotel again . But the wonderful view of the cathedral from the balcony far outweighed the size of the room. And the breakfast was very enjoyable. Thank you"

"Boutique hotel located very centrally. Cute rooms, though basic but very clean, amazing view. Nice cafe is located right downstairs. Excellent option to stay for a short trip."

"This is a small hotel in an excellent location. My family had the two rooms on the top floor. The views were excellent. The rooms weren't fancy but they were very clean, recently renovated and comfortable. In fact the mattresses were very good and the rooms very quiet so we slept well. It didn't have the trappings of an expensive hotel, like room service or a concierge but we didn't need those services - we wanted a clean, comfortable hotel in a good location and that is what we got with Hotel Cardinal."
