Especially pleasant to spend evenings on the terrace, enjoying the sunset and clean mountain AIR. The location of the cottage proved ideal — away from city noise. "The home is in great shape and is easily accessible. Check-in and check-out was well laid out in advance. We enjoyed using the kitchen to cook meals and store drinks during our stay. Having the AC in the room was a life-saver!"

Some basic kitchen amenities like paper towels and trash bags were not provided or incorrectly sized. Trash bins (inside and outside) were sometimes over-full due to the nature of the shared space.

"Emma var en utrolig hyggelig, hjelpsom, og snill vertinne som tok oss imot med åpne armer! Rommet var veldig rent, og beliggenheten var super både for matbutikken og andre severdigheter. Vi kunne ikke være mer fornøyd med oppholdet vårt!"

"Trives veldig godt på Turistgården. Alltid hyggelig å komme dit. Koselige omgivelser og rom. Rent og fint og alt man trenger tilgjengelig."

Jeg er jo litt sær, så det eneste jeg savner er godt brød til frokost. Bagatell.

"Beautiful setting amongst lush vegetation. Fantastic rooms and bungalows with a wooden construction and lovingly updated for tourism. Lovely place to relax and unwind. Quiet location, but either a 10-15minute walk to Chethy beach, which is huge and deserted or a 5 minute tuk-tuk ride to Marari beach where there are more snack shacks and facilities."

Would have liked a kettle to make tea/coffee and a fridge, but don’t let that minor detail put you off…it’s beautiful.

"The place feels like home and is just on the edge of the national park. The owner made sure I had everything I needed, even though he wasn't there for the majority of my stay. Suds and Didi that help at the guest house were so amazing. Very caring and friendly and made sure I was entertained during my stay. Didi's cooking is the best I had during my travels in Nepal. This place might not be for people that like comfortable hotels, but I loved staying in a mud house and being this close to nature. I highly recommend it."
