"Fantastic views of the Matterhorn, plus the town of Zermatt, especially from the bedroom upstairs which means the view is wonderful to look at when you wake up in the morning! Very comfort and cosy refurbished old cabin which has real authenticity. The owners are very friendly and always helpful."

The three flights of stairs to go to the toilet during the night and carting up all our ski gear from the road below.

"Really comfy, tidy, well equipped place. The hosts were very friendly, they even contacted us with a neighbor of them who gave us a (paid) tour to different destinations. The supermarket around the corner was very handy, it helped us reducing costs during the trip. On the other hand, we used public transportation, but I would suggest to rent a car if you are a group of 3 or 4. We had a really good stay, so we highly recommend Casa Chiquito :)"

Nothing, everything was fine. Just for the sake of continuous improvement, it’d be good if the draining of the shower could be improved but I can imagine it is significant work (it is certainly not critical at all, though).

There is a small village (Hog Harbour Village) nearby, about a 20 minute walk, where you can buy local bread and fruit. Accommodation is very basic but serves its purpose. Mosquito coils and nets are provided. The local who looked after us, Melody, was very welcoming and kind, and made us delicious breakfasts and dinners. There were no kayaks available but they can be rented from the neighbouring Lonnoc Beach Bungalows."

Drainage in the shower is poor and the floor quickly becomes wet and muddy. Facilities are very worn out. The room has no shelving to put your belongings; this would be a great improvement. If you are on a budget, keep in mind that pretty much the only food options in the area are the restaurants at the lodge or at neighbouring accommodations, where a meal costs 1500-2000 vatu per person. The food is delicious though and there are local dishes - the paw paw curry was phenomenal.
