Located next to the First gondola lift in central Grindelwald, Hotel Alte Post offers a small velvære section and a traditional bistro. All rooms have a balcony with mountain views. Free Wi-Fi and cable TV are standard room facilities. All rooms have a bathroom, work desk and traditional pinewood furniture. Breakfast is buffet style and includes local products. Regional specialities can also be enjoyed at the kafé. Wellness facilities include a sauna, steam bath and small fitness studio. A massage service is available upon request. In the winter, guests arriving on Mondays receive welcome drinks and snacks. Grindelwald offers 165 km of ski slopes and 43 lifts. The ski bus stops opposite the Alte Post. In summer, the area offers 350 km of hiking routes, a golf course and plenty of tennis courts. The resort also has paragliding and swimming facilities.

"Perfect location close to the First cable car and the bus stop. Very good breakfast. Quiet in the evening. Very clean. We spent a weekend skiing in Grindelwald and this was the perfect place for us."
"Some of the rooms had a key that had to be exchanged every time depending if you want to enter the room or if you want to enter the main building or use the ski locker, which was a bit unpractical. The staff at reception was treating us with correctness, but sometimes we thought they could be more friendly. The staff serving breakfast were friendly and very professional, they prepared delicious scrambled eggs for us."

"Rolig område. Kort vei til offentlig transport og butikk hvor du får tak i det du trenger. Flotte parker i gangavstand i tillegg til badeanlegg med strand. Leiligheten inneholder det du trenger og er praktisk innrettet. Pluss med vifte når det ikke er aircondition og hetebølgen feier over Zürich."
